Pain Symptoms in Dogs and Cats - I Love Veterinary Medicine

Our furry friends are the masters of disguise when it comes to pain. Dogs and cats are both stoic and are able to hide signs of pain and suffering well. This innate ability extends from their ancestors as a means of not revealing weakness.


But as pet owners, it is important to notice any changes in behaviour which may be suggestive of pain or discomfort. Some conditions will be more obvious than others, and some disease can be insidious and only reveal themselves at the late stage.
