DIFFERENTIAL
Utilising signalment & history to provide a refined list of diagnoses
In veterinary medicine, the most important information to obtain to make a diagnosis or determine the next steps in patient management is the patient's signalment & history.
Using this information, we are able to start creating a list of possible diagnoses. A veterinarian's clinical exam & diagnostics (blood tests, imaging, sampling & surgery) will help narrow down the most likely differential diagnoses.
Our aim is to help educate pet owners with the likely differential diagnoses based on their pets signalment & history. Pet owners will be able to set their expectations when visiting their veterinary clinic. We do not try to replace the need for in-person veterinary consults - we are an advisory/education service only.
NOTE: If you have an unwell pet or your pet requires urgent attention, please visit your local veterinary clinic asap. Our response time can take 24-48 hours depending on demand.
